North Burns Prescribed Burn

The North Burns prescribed burn was conducted on April 30th, 2019. The burn was completed by Lands and Forests Consulting for the Nature Conservancy of Canada. The controlled burn was intended to add vigor and health to a static sandplain grassland in addition to reducing the amount of woody stem succession occurring around the perimeter. This was the first application of fire on this site. The Drone It team looks forward to working with Lands and Forest consulting and the Nature Conservancy of Canada to film future prescribed burns.
